Here is an email sent to Local government. I am still waiting for a reply. Please check your class is on before setting off by checking saxons whatsapp group or here and saxon fb pages at the moment tonight’s class Weds 14th Oct is on. Please obey ALL safety rules.
Dear Sir/Madam
Could you please clarify the local governments position on karate classes in Calderdale level 2 covid restrictions. After deliberation of latest amendments the section that applies is:
exercise classes and organised sport can continue to take place outdoors. These [classes] will only be permitted indoors if it is possible for people to avoid mixing with people they do not live with or share a support bubble with.
We are a non contact discipline and due to the covid situation have adjusted all training to keep the social distancing rules in place. Students do not mingle before or after in the training area. Students arrivals and departures in their family groups or individually are socially distanced and timed. Masks are worn in all classes (unless they have an exemption certificate and Doctors confirmation.) Numbers of class are limited to ensure correct distancing at all times. There is no mixing or meeting before or after lesson in the training area at all, they arrive and as soon as lesson finishes leave. We also provide hand sanitizer and wipes at door and keep track and trace registers.
Am I right in thinking we are within the rules to continue?
Kind regards Leigh Smith.
